How to Create an Avalanche of Customer Purchases
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. If you'd like to contribute articles to this blog, please Register. Thanks for visiting!
This article is all about growing your sales and increasing your business. Now that I have your attention I want to share a time tested technique that will motivate your idle customers to do business with you.
For example, I am a frequent visitor of our local book store. The retailer actually sends me coupons in my email box. A couple of weeks ago I received a coupon which gave me 30% off any item I wanted as long as I purchased it within the next three days. I didn’t have any book that I really needed, but at the risk of losing out on what I perceived to be a good deal, I purchased a book the next day.
Why did this occur? This business has mastered a time tested technique for customer acquisition. They not only announce a salesomething that has value. They actually go a step further as they include a deadline where the offer ends. This tactic creates a sense of urgency in the prospect motivating them to purchase more product.
If America’s most profitable businesses rely on this technique than it must be good enough for us. There is no need to be innovative here. Simply follow the blue print and learn from the experience of countless other businesses that have tried this technique. Look at the next group of coupons sent by your local grocery store. I bet the coupon has an expiration date. Why? Because if you know you could potentially lose out on a good deal you will be motivated to action.
This is an extremely powerful emotion. When we feel as if we are about to lose something we fight hard to keep or obtain the item. You can create an instant demand for your product or services by limiting their availability. Make your prospective feel as if they are losing out by not doing business with you.
I challenge you to put this method to the test. Run a promotion offering 35% off a current product or service you have. But don’t stop there. Tell your prospective customers that in order to lock in the savings they have to purchase it within the next 5 days. Each day send a reminder regarding the fast approaching deadline. On the last day of the promotion you will be amazed at how many people make purchases. They simply don’t want to lose out on such a great deal.
Some of you may be concerned that by lowering your price during the promotion that you will have less profit. This is a valid concern. However, you must understand that once customers have a positive experience with you once, they are far more likely to do business with you in the future. If you have satisfied customers you will have repeat customers.

A Look at the Power of Web Video and Video Blogging
Video is a very influential way to get you message across. Since video activates and uses the most dominate of our senses, we are more than likely to remember the message that is being displayed to us. And it is with this knowledge that many people begin to market their web videos in order to get their message across.
Today, the use of web video is extremely prominent, and it seems that everyone from internet marketers to the mother of two living down the street is taking advantage of the power of web video. The reason why so many people are beginning to adopt video as a means to divulging information is because it is a easy, and extremely effective way to connect with their audience on an intimate level.
It’s unsure to say where the future of web video is going to take us, however, there are several things that are for certain. Web video isn’t going to go anywhere, and the use of video to obtain information is going to grow stronger throughout the next several years.
Video blogging
Video blogging is quickly becoming one of the most popular ways to connect and talk with the world around you. Actually, since video blogging has become so popular, there is even a new term for it, it’s called vlog. But how can you access these vlogs and also, why are they becoming so popular?
With video blogging, you have to talk about a story that is interesting. Even if your story is just about what happened to you at the grocery store today, make sure that you have a beginning, middle and end. However, again if you feel your story would take longer than the suggested amount of time, either don’t talk about it or make it into a multi-post story. Many video bloggers will not only write about their story, but they will also include a video that helps describe the story.
It’s the same concept as in real life, you wouldn’t listen to a person who was trying to give you information from across the room, so don’t set up your video blog to where you are distanced from the camera. A good way to discover if you are at the correct distance from the camera is by looking at the screen and making sure that only your chest and up is visible. You don’t want to show your whole torso, because you would be too far away for the viewers.
However, no matter why you decide to watch or make a video blog, there is one thing that everyone has in common. We live in a society that is predominately standoffish and distant, however, with the power of web video, and video blogging, individuals are able to connect with their fellow man, without actually seeing them.

Website Content Management And The Software To Achieve It.
No matter what type of website you are running, every owner confronts similar obstacles when they deal with website maintenance. Organization of data is a problem all webmasters face on a daily basis. Organizing where data goes, what hyperlinks go where, and plenty of data left to analyze are all things that can be maintained and completed with the assistance of software designed specifically for website content management.
Today, there are plenty of technological advances that aide in website content management. Webmasters have daily access to anything they desire on the internet. Search engines now have smart new technologies, such as, advanced web crawlers. These new devices disregard dated material. How frequently new posts are made is another feature that may be tracked by a web crawler. Things such as this decide what sort of placement or level your website receives when someone performs a search. Ideally you want to create a higher ranking so you receive more traffic.
With the passage of time, we usually want to add more information to our websites. That can come in the form of text, charts, pictures, or multimedia files for animation, etc. All of those additions can accumulate into a large, unwieldy mass of data. Maintaining the data in that mass can be very difficult. To help manage that conglomeration of data, modern web content management has come to the rescue.
Specific suites of content management software are available for specific purposes. For example, a utility services firm probably only needs content management that can create easy housing and retrieval of data related to your product. For a purpose like this you can select software for content management that is built around a simple server.
With website content management you have numerous options for software. There are several different open source software packages readily available to the public. These programs are free to you to use according to the GNU Public License or other similar licenses that are considered to be free-for-all licenses.
When selecting website content management software, you should keep certain things in mind. Most importantly, this software needs to be able to provide you with the ability to customize it, in order to meet your website’s strategic business goals. Next, you need to consider whether it will be robust enough to support different marketing initiatives that could affect your website. Finally, you should look for value in your choice of software. The price for your software package should not exceed your ability to expected a return on that investment of at least twentyfold.
Management of website content is certainly not new. Gone are the days when dated hyperlinks fooled the savvy web crawler. Nowadays, you have the option to think beyond proprietary software in the website content management domain. These software packages are generally available under the GNU Public License or similar free-for-all licenses. Most importantly, this software needs to be able to provide you with the ability to customize it, in order to meet your website’s strategic business goals. Next, you need to consider whether it will be robust enough to support different marketing initiatives that could affect your website.

How to Get the Most Out of Your Blog
The term ‘blog’ gets it’s name from web logging. Blogs have totally changed over the last few years from a private log of one’s thoughts and actions, a bit like a diary into one of the most potent marketing forces on the internet today. The advantage of a blog over a traditional website is the interactiveness which more easily creates relationships between the blogger and his visitors.
Having created the the business blog you can then monetize it as well as personalize it to your own requirements. Once created, you can make money out of the blog by syndicating it through RSS to your business website. If you have decided that you will set up a blog for business, below are a few tips on how to make it one of the more interesting and popular blogs.
1, Visitors. The one thing you can’t afford to forget is that people have arrived at your blog looking for information more than likely after typing certain keywords into a search. Your content needs to stay on topic and keep them fascinated enough to explore more into your blog and possibly go take a look at your business website. So keep your content relevant and interesting.
2, Boring Text. Text on computer screens is harder to read than more conventional forms of reading material and people can soon become glassy eyed when faced with large blocks of uninterrupted text. It’s always a good idea to insert a few related graphics which gives the page more interest and a more varied structure. This is vital if you want the visitor to get to the end of your articles, especially if they are long posts.
3, The content needs to be relevant. The posts made to your business blog need to be relevant to the subject of the blog. In other words the blog is set up around your niche market and with keywords and keyword phrases that are relevant to the subject. The intent is to draw traffic to your blog based on those keywords and keyword phrases. The business blog needs to create a special relationship with its visitors with the aim to sell products or services/ If you consistently write good quality posts to your blog the visitor will return for more of the “good stuff”, and will eventually trust that you know what you are talking about and buy one of your recommended products or services.
4, Nice and Easy. Most of your visitors won’t be technophobes unless your niche is especially technical so write in an easy flowing style without too many obscure big words that you may think sounds clever but will only confuse half your visitors and drive them away. There’s no substitute for straightforward English everyone can understand with a nice flowing style in short paragraphs to break it up a little.
5, Always enable the ‘Comments’ feature in your blogs. This is your chance to interact with your visitors and find out what they think of your posts and what they’d like to hear more of. This is vital for the good running of a blog. For safety’s sake you should set it so all comments have to be approved before being published. This will stop your blog being polluted with lots of spam comments.
The number one task you must do before even installing a blog anywhere is have your plan of action ready. You need to be committed to submitting new content on a regular basis and answering posts that need to be answered. Don’t forget your comments posters also give you their email address so this is another valuable resource for any internet marketer.

Unique Baby Shower Games
There are literally hundreds of different games that you can play at a baby shower, some are fun and some and not. If you are planning a baby shower or even wondering what will be done at your own I have decided to compile a list of some of the baby shower games that you can play.
The Name Game If you are looking for a simple game that everyone can be involved in, the name game is your choice. If the parents know what they are going to name the baby and they are willing to share it with the guests, this fun game can be played at the party. The guests will use each letter of the baby’s name to make new words. Whoever comes up with the best or most unique words is the winner.
Mother’s Weight. Okay, this is a game which is only appropriate for a woman who is comfortable enough to stand in front of a crowd while being ogled by everyone else who is going to guess her weight. The mother has to stand in front of the room and model for the guests. She should also do a few turns and let everyone get a good look at her. Them the guests have to guess how much she weighs. This is certainly not a traditional game, but it can be fun and interesting.
Baby Bottle Bowling. Now this game can be a little rowdy. It is always interesting to find new games to play with baby themed objects. You can fill up baby bottles with something to make them heavier like a liquid such as milk or even something solid like rice baby cereal. Then you give the guests a small ball like a tennis ball or street hockey ball and allow them to try and knock down the pins, two tries just like in real bowling. The best score wins. If there is a tie they can compete again until a winner is found.
Word Scramble. The word scramble is a basic game that can be played at any baby shower. Scramble up numerous baby related words, at least 10, no more than 25, and pass out the sheets to the guests face down. Let them know that they are going to participate in a timed game unscrambling baby words and the winner is the one with the most correct words at the end. Make sure you include some more challenging words to make a game out of it. If you have older guests include some old fashioned words or phrases as well.
Not Allowed Not allowed is a fun game to play at a baby shower. At the beginning of the shower you need to let all the guests know what words, phrases or actions are not allowed. This could be crossing your legs, or swearing or saying a certain name. Then you can pass out a baby related item such as pacifiers to the guests. Let the guests know that they each get one pacifier and if they see another guest doing an action or saying a phrase which is not allowed that they can then steal all of their pacifiers. Near the end of the party you can collect and count the pacifiers. The person with the most wins.
Baby Advice Game This game is a way for the guests to share their insights with the new parents. From the time a woman announces her pregnancy on, everyone, including perfect strangers, wants to help her by giving unsolicited advice. At some point, usually rather soon, a women stops listening. BY having this game people can share advice that the parents will at least consider. You should buy a special book or make shapes like hearts or flowers out of large construction paper. Let the guests each write down whatever they want, advice, stories, etc., for the mother. The parents can read them later when they are willing to listen to what everyone has to say.
The above games are literally just the tip of the iceberg; there are so many different games that can be played at a baby shower. Baby showers can be fun but thy can also be hectic. Before making a decision on which games to play it is a good idea to ask the mother to be how she feels about each game.

How To Create A Blog That Makes Money
Blogging is hitting the internet by storm, and with good reason. It gives every person a voice, and a way to express themselves. The best part about it all though is setting up your very own website has never been easier.
Blogger and Wordpress have to be the two most popular blogging platforms used today. Wordpress is definitely the most customizable and easiest to use of the two. Beginners should have very little trouble learning how to use it.
Even if you have little to no tech knowledge, you can set up a Wordpress blog in no time by using their hosted blog feature. It really can’t get any easier, and the best part is that it’s free! Of course, hosting your own blog with your own domain name is the best way, but if you want to learn how to use Wordpress and experiment with it risk free, then you can’t go wrong with a free hosted version.
The great thing about blogs is that you can really talk about whatever your heart desires. However, if your goal is to make money blogging, then I have some tips that will make it easier for you to do so.
To begin with, pick a niche and stick with it. The goal as a blogger is to become an authority, someone that readers can trust. If you just blog about random things, no one will think you are an expert at anything. Become a resource for a specific topic, and as an authority people will trust and respect you, and you will be able to monetize based on that trust.
Most importantly, provide an abundance of value. Don’t think that people will continue to read you blog just because you post. You have to bring them valuable information, things that they want to know about, often. By doing so, you will develop a solid readership base and they will subscribe to your RSS feed. If you just spam them with a bunch of ads or offers, you will have no credibility whatsoever.
Next, be patient. Blogging does take some serious work, and some time to grow and become capable of earning you substantial income. Remember that even though you may not make money fast, in time your earnings will be able to grow and grow.
Last, make sure to use the best monetization method possible. This will vary between niches, so it is up to you to determine what works and what doesn’t. There are a bunch of different ways to monetize a blog, such as widgets, paid posts, or advertising; but only by testing and experimenting will you find out the best way to make money. There is one monetization method that works very well in almost every niche, and that’s affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing is the greatest way to make money with your blog. As you become more popular, and are viewed as an authority, you are able to make strong recommendations to your readers whom are willing to follow your advice and act upon it.

Learn How to Earn Money on the Internet
Earning money requires hard work, dedication, sleepless nights and a quantity of ambition. But wait! Is it what it used to be before the Internet Revolution? Because over the Internet, earning money is fast, hassle free, and mostly risk free with a work load that you can easily handle in your free time.
If you have turned your back on earnings outside your computer, consider a few tips that may make you change your mind. First, be careful that anything that you engage is on the level and not some scam. Only consider using genuine, trusted websites and thoroughly go through their content and rules before signing up. You can get valuable clues from their FAQs, payment methods, and privacy policy.
Completing surveys on line is the most popular way of earning cash via the Internet. You will be paid by companies in the market research business which endless supplies of survey results. The surveys are in questionnaire form and every one you complete is added to their database at the same time as accruing your total earnings. Many of these sites offer you a further income if you get your friends to join up too and in some cases a percentage of their earnings will be added to your total income
However, the survey forms can seem a little repetitive and boring at times and your stamina will soon start to wane if you do this job day in and day out. This is the time to take a break and consider viewing ads as a form of income. The pay is not as good as surveys but it is simpler and more relaxing and good money can still be made in this way. Huge companies pay these websites to display their ads for viewing in order to receive publicity through word of mouth.
You can earn even more money by having accounts in various other websites. Websites such as MyLot allows users to chat and interact, while paying them for the publicity and interest they generate. Similarly, BlueBayPTR rewards members with bonuses for reading advertisements, signing up, and on pay per click basis: all adding to their income.
If you go ahead with these options you will need to continually view and manage them. Add the sites to your favorites on your computer and keep a regular eye on them.

HYIP (high interest yield programs may seem very appealing but quite often they turn out to be extremely deceptive. When you start out make sure you have a means of receiving your payments from the websites. A PayPal account is always a good choice.

The Real Facts About Managing An Adwords Campaign
Running a successful Adwords campaign is surprisingly difficult to do. You cannot just create an ad and expect it to be successful, although these ads can be very profitable. It is all about managing your campaign successfully.
There are many things to look out for; click to sales conversions, costs and bid comparisons to name just a few. Above all you must be prepared for fast action and changing things on the fly.
The quicker you get to the problems and fix them the better you campaign will be. When small problems are caught quickly it will save you a lot of headaches and money. Neglecting your Adwords campaign is one of the worst mistakes you can do. You will be setting yourself up for failure if you do this.
One of the most important aspects of your Adwords campaign is positioning of your ad. You will do this by comparing your ads position to other ads built around the same keyword. Bear in mind that popular keywords can bring up literally 100’s of results pages for a searcher. Your success will be dependent on your ad being able to draw a huge number of potential buyers. To achieve this you need to gain maximum exposure.
The average searcher will not usually go beyond the first 5-10 pages. Therefore your ad must be positioned within these 5-10 pages to be effective. Always remember that there are many ads, using the same keywords that are competing against your ad. If there were no competitive ads for a keyword it would mean that that it is too obscure and would attract very few searches. The chances of a sale are high but cost of production would also be too high. In order to get a high position you will need to pay more for your clicks.
In order to get a good position in the search results you will need the necessary skills to bid correctly. Budget and competitor bids will help you to decide how much to spend. When you bid on frequently searched keywords you will get plenty of traffic but also a number of useless leads. This means that you will need to assess the click to sales conversions carefully, and understand the costs involved.
It is critical to track how many potential customers and sales are being generated by your ad. Many clicks and no sales mean that your ad will need adjustment. You can do this by changing the keywords or just changing the format of the ad. Attention to each and every detail is essential for managing a successful Adwords campaign.
So how can you track your Adwords campaign? Google makes this easy with their great tracking system. When you set up your campaign all your keywords will be listed and you will be able to see which ones are bringing traffic. Added to this you can even set up the tracking to record sales.
So remember these important points, when you use Adwords. They will help you to be successful and run a profitable campaign. A little time spent on your campaign will reap big profits for your business.
